Duties for this role include:
Manage retail staff, among which includes people working on the shop floor, and the cashiers.
Meet financial goals by analysing variances; formulating pricing policies and scheduling expenditures.
Make sure pricing is correct.
Work on Store displays.
Train employees.
Evaluate your own performance, as well as other staff members.
Identify market trends that appeal to customers.
Ensure promotions are accurate and in tune with Shop's standards.
Make sure that health and safety measures are met.
Maintain inventory and ensure items are in stock.
Ensure Planograms, POS's and Merchandising is monitored and maintained to a high standard.
Ensure that hours of operation are in compliance with local laws.
Maintain Health and Safety measures and store cleanliness.
Organise and distribute staff schedules.
Handle customer complaints, issues and questions.
Competencies, skills, knowledge and experience to undertake the role:
Essential-
Excellent written, oral and verbal communication skills.
Must have PC skills, including the ability to use database marketing and Microsoft Office Suite.
Must have the ability to drive.
Must be able to work for at least 7-8 hours a day.
Bi-Lingual (in English and several South Asian languages)
Must have minimum 2 years relevant industry experience.
Other special requirements of the role:
Holding a relevant NVQs/ Qualification/Degree.
Availability to be on-call/ out-of-hours work.
Flexibility re-working hours.
