About the role
Sense are looking for a Siblings and Young Carers Project Assistant , at our Sense Family centre Woodside Bristol .
We are looking for a Project Assistant to support with the delivery of a high-quality, child-led service for Siblings and Young Carers aged 5-18 who have a disabled family member. The successful candidate will plan and deliver face-to-face events, as well as regular virtual opportunities for young people.
Located at our Sense Family Centre - Woodside, Bristol, We are looking for someone to work a minimum of four days per week in-office , and two weekend days per month.
This is a fixed term role until 31/03/2026.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing project and support the delivery of an impactful service to children and Young people face-to-face and across the country.
This role in Bristol will include:
Working as a team with the project coordinator and volunteers.
Supporting and enabling Siblings and Young Carers to improve their wellbeing, gain confidence and build friendships with other Young Carers.
Enabling access to leisure and wellbeing opportunities.
Our ideal candidate will be:
Proactive, and solution focussed, with the ability to engage and support children and Young people in a wide variety of activities, utilizing their likes and interests.
You will have a strong understanding of the needs of Siblings and Young Carers, and the ability to build positive relationships with the individuals and families we support.
You must be comfortable working with IT and communicating with a remote team, as well as working independently.
