Site Accountant
Purpose of the role:
We are looking for an experienced finance professional who has been in charge of accounting at a manufacturing site in the past for a number of years.
- Temporary position 6 to 9 months
- £ 45,000 -£50, 000 p.a. pro rata
- Mon-Fri
- Pension
Tasks to cover will include but are not limited to the following:
Overseeing Purchase ledger - Supporting Ensuring purchase invoices are booked and paid in a timely manner.
Overseeing sales ledger - Ensuring SP.net is fully reconciled with SAGE sales ledger. Finalising month end sales with Assistant Accountant.
Balance Sheet reconciliations and other month end tasks as requested by the Financial Controller.
VAT returns, plastic packaging tax returns, ONS returns.
Payroll / pensions Compiling and submitting the weekly pay file instruction to 3rd party payroll processing team making sure any processing errors are identified and corrected before final check and payment authorisation. Ensuring pension returns are filed in a timely manner.
Stock Management systems within a manufacturing environment
The current Accountant on site is heavily involved with the SAGE implementation project, therefore this role is to support them with their day-to-day finance demands and effectively backfill some of their responsibilities.
This role is for an immediate start, so will suit someone who is readily available.
