Site Agent - Job Description/ Role
Role Summary Site Agent:
As a Site Agent in the Company's Infrastructure Group, you will oversee projects in either the Civils or Water streams, from contract award to completion. Reporting to a Contracts Manager or Project Manager based on project value, complexity, and personal experience, your role is to ensure successful project completion while achieving favourable financial outcomes. Additionally, you will focus on maintaining and improving client relationships and adhering to the business's quality, safety, and environmental policies.
Responsibilities Site Agent
- Allocate and manage resources for site staff.
- Report to senior managers on Department budget control procedures and contract progress.
- Ensure compliance with safe work systems and the Company Safety Policy.
- Enforce and monitor the Division's Quality Assurance and Environmental systems.
- Manage projects and contracts.
- Motivate staff.
- Communicate project progress at all levels.
- Recruit new staff.
- Directly supervise Sub Agents and General Foremen.
- Indirectly supervise Site Engineers, Foremen, and Gangers.
- Essential qualification in Civil Engineering/Building.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar position with a medium to major size Civil Engineering Contractor.
- Proven experience on challenging projects with major clients.
- Strong leadership and motivation skills.
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
- Effective time management.
- Ability to delegate and manage tasks within the site team.
- Sound technical knowledge.
- Good people management skills.
- Familiarity with quality and environmental practices.
- UK driving license.
- Commercial and contractual awareness.
