As a Site Engineer, you will play a key role in the successful delivery on the scheme. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Setting Out and Surveying:
- Accurately set out and survey key points on the construction site.
- Ensure that work is carried out to the required standards and specifications.
Quality Control:
- Monitor and maintain quality control procedures to ensure work meets project specifications and industry standards.
- Conduct regular inspections and assessments to identify and resolve any issues promptly.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with project managers, design teams, and subcontractors to ensure effective communication and coordination.
- Provide technical support and solutions to any on-site challenges.
Health and Safety:
- Champion a strong safety culture by adhering to and enforcing health and safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and implement corrective actions as necessary.
Documentation:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date site records, including daily diaries, progress reports, and as-built drawings.
- Ensure all necessary permits and approvals are in place.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Site Engineer on highway projects.
- Proficient in the use of surveying instruments and relevant software.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and quality standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and a commitment to a safe working environment.
