Site Engineer / Sub Agent - Role Summary
The successful candidate, in the role of Site Engineer or Sub Agent, will hold a dual responsibility encompassing technical oversight of project works, compliance with health and safety standards, assurance of quality, and management of commercial aspects of the project.
Site Engineer / Sub Agent - Key Responsibilities:
- Executes Site Engineering tasks such as setting out, surveying, and ensuring technical compliance of project works.
- Supervises and coordinates subcontractors and site operatives to ensure efficient project delivery.
- Implements health and safety protocols, quality standards, and environmental policies on-site.
- Manages project documentation and records to ensure compliance with contract specifications.
- Assists in resolving technical issues and conflicts arising during project execution.
- Participates in the training and development of junior staff members.
- Collaborates with project stakeholders to maintain positive working relationships and address concerns promptly.
- Supports continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project efficiency and quality.
Site Engineer / Sub Agent - Requirements
- Holds a degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant construction discipline.
- Demonstrates proven experience as a Site Engineer or similar role within a main contractor environment.
- Possesses proficiency in setting out, surveying, and technical aspects of construction projects.
- Has a strong understanding of health and safety regulations and quality management systems.
- Exhibits excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workload effectively.
