An Installation Supervisor is needed to join a busy Engineering company in the Gateshead area
As the Installation Supervisor you will supervise small installation teams to ensure Site Installation projects are well planned, coordinated and completed with the best prospect of success, to time and within budget. Experienced in electrical and mechanical installations you will primarily be a working supervisor, with the ability to drop into project planning, coordination and customer liaison when required.
You will supervise projects valued typically between 50-250k, with durations spanning one to several weeks and will require frequent travel throughout the UK & Ireland
Key duties will include
- Drive exemplary customer service for new and existing customers.
- Complete site reporting including daily progress reports, time sheets, delays, extra works orders and timesheets.
- Ensure tools/ equipment and system parts are managed at site in a controlled manner.
- Attending customer sites to participate in site surveys and pre-start meetings.
- Provide support during works planning phase including contribution towards the generation of works schedule and RAMS.
- Organise site workforce to meet work schedules and readjust when necessary to address the critical path.
- Attend daily site management meetings when required and act as a point of contact with our customer.
YOUR SKILLS
The successful candidate will ideally have a formal Electrical qualification, good hands-on electrical skills and have a Site Supervision card (SMSTS or similar)
Experience is supervising staff is projects is essential as is the ability to read engineering drawings.Experience of using applications such as AutoCAD and Visio is a strong advantage. You must be able to understand and develop knowledge of industry regulations and laws and is able to contribute towards organisational compliance and have some of the following skills: -
- Strong supervision and project management skills
- Ability to work within a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Able to organise and effectively manage customer, contractor and internal meetings
- Excellent time management and geographical planning skills
- Ability to create, organise and direct virtual teams
- Persuasive and credible with a consultative approach
- Ability to take ownership of tasks and work under own initiative and under pressure to meet customer and company deadlines
- Confident to set and work with targets
- A full, clean driving licence and willingness to travel away from home
