Vacancy: Site Manager
Unite People are working alongside a regional construction contractor to hire a Site Manager, based in Yorkshire.
The successful individual will be self-motivated, forward-thinking with either a trades or engineering background. You will have previous experience in a Site Management or Assistant Site Management position. The Site Manager will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of quality.
Schemes will focus around the M62 and M1 corridors in Yorkshire, focusing on new build commercial, retail or mixed-use developments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of construction projects from start to finish.
- Ensure adherence to project timelines and budgets.
- Manages the relationship with the groundworks/ civils sub-contractor onsite
- Drive the project Programme
- Lead and motivate trades staff and site team
- Delegate responsibilities to site staff
- Maintain high-quality standards throughout all phases of construction.
- Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
- Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections to identify and address potential hazards.
Required Qualifications & Training
- CSCS Card
- SMSTS
- First Aid
- Previous experience of managing steel frame builds or commercial units would be beneficial
- Strong People Management experience
- Strong people skills
