Our client, a leading UK construction company, is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Site Manager to join their team in Wigan. As a Site Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful management and delivery of construction projects, with responsibilities spanning health and safety, quality, environmental concerns, short-term programs, and cost/value operations.
Responsibilities:
Provide leadership and energy to the project team.
Oversee prelims and project budgets to ensure financial objectives are met.
Manage pre-construction activities and maintain strict quality control procedures.
Procure and manage the supply chain, ensuring effective resource allocation.
Lead regular site meetings and conduct safety checks to ensure compliance.
Proactively identify and resolve issues to maintain project progress.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Implement and maintain Company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
Detailed knowledge of building regulations and project planning.
Previous experience in a similar role within the construction industry is essential.
Professional qualification in construction management or a related field is desirable.
CITB Level 3 Safety Course and CSCS Card Appropriate level required.
Experience with Asta Power Project or similar project management software is desirable.

Technical knowledge and experience in construction processes.
Commercial and financial awareness.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with stakeholders.
Understanding of different contracts (e.g., NEC, JCT).
