SalarySite Manager - New Build Housing Development in Midlothian.
We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to join our client and lead the delivery of a new build housing development on the outskirts of Edinburgh. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management of the site and ensuring that the project is completed on time, to budget, and to a high standard of quality. Preferably, we are looking for someone who has demonstrated experience in delivering new build housing projects and winning NHBC awards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day management of the site, ensuring it is a safe place to work, and compliance with health and safety standards
- Monitor the progress of the project and ensure that it is delivered on time and to budget
- Develop and maintain a good working relationship with wider team and subcontractors
- Ensure that all works on the site are carried out in accordance with the design, specifications, and quality standards
- Manage and motivate the site team, ensuring they are familiar with the project brief and are working collaboratively towards a successful outcome
- Act as the main point of contact for all queries and issues related to the project
- Attend and chair regular site meetings to ensure everyone is aligned and informed
- Ensure the project is delivered to the highest quality and in compliance with all regulations
Key Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience of delivering new build housing projects
- Knowledge of building regulations, construction methods, and health and safety standards
- Proven track record in delivering projects on time and to budget
- Experience in managing a team and overseeing subcontractors
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Good understanding of design and technical drawings
- Experience of winning NHBC awards is desirable
- Degree or equivalent qualification in construction management, civil engineering or other related disciplines is desirable
