As a Steel ErectionSite Supervisoryou will support the Project Team and be involved in:
- Review pre-planning information in the Site Management Plan (SMP) and identify and communicate any suggestions for improvements to the Site Manager. Such ideas could be related to improved erection productivity, more efficient sequencing of work, pre-assembly opportunities, better utilisation of plant / equipment, reduced labour requirements, safer working conditions, achievement of higher quality, more effective shift patterns etc.
- Facilitate timely mobilisation of sub-contractors to site, in accordance with the agreed delivery programme.
- Ensure that all site labour and sub-contractors' operatives have attended both the sub-contractor and Main Contractor site inductions and are fully familiar with the Erection Methodology, Logistics Plan and particular site constraints.
- Coordinate all site activities including deliveries, storage, logistics, welfare, trade interfaces, crane scheduling, equipment movements, labour issues, installation works, rectification of defects and timely handover.
- Direct, supervise, support and mentor subcontractors to complete the construction works within the allocated time, to the specified quality requirements and on (or under) budget.
- Verify that suitable RAMS and lifting plans are in place and that engaged operatives and third-party crane drivers are inducted and briefed accordingly.
- Inspect fabricated steel-work and other materials arriving on site to confirm compliance with Contract obligations and company standards, placing into quarantine any not conforming item and issuing a Non-Conformance Report (NCR) to the offending
- Ensure that the works are constructed in accordance with the Quality Inspection & Test Plan (QITP), observing all hold points, relevant technical specifications, associated codes of practice and warranty requirements.
- Protect the health, safety and well-being of all site personnel, ensure that all operatives have adequate training to undertake their role and assigned tasks and that appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is provided and worn by the entire workforce and take immediate action to address any breach.

- General education with a reasonable level of experience working in construction environments, managing Structural Steel-work Erection is essential.
- Must also have: CSCS card - supervisor, SSSTS/SMSTS card, CPCS Crane supervisor. IPAF 3A/3B+
