Primary School in Greenwich Seeking a School Caretaker

Empowering Learning is currently seeking a School Caretaker for a primary school in Greenwich. Through our strong relationship with a local group of schools, we are looking for an experienced individual to maintain the school campus.

Our dedicated Engage Education Services team specialises in placing non-classroom-based staff, including Administrators, HR, Finance, and Facilities.

Role Overview:

• This is a full-time, temp-perm position.

As a School Caretaker, you will be an experienced facilities professional overseeing work both internally and externally. Key responsibilities include:

• Effective communication with the facilities team to ensure timely project completion
• Day-to-day maintenance and minor repairs
• Ensuring the security of the building and grounds during non-operational hours
• Opening and closing the building daily
• Regular checks on heating, lighting, and alarm systems
• Order equipment relevant to the role
• Possess good maintenance skills and the ability to work independently

Candidate Requirements:

• Previous experience in a school environment
• Valid DBS on the DBS update service
• Immediate availability for interview and start
