Guinness Property provide repairs and maintenance services to The Guinness Partnership. Our national teams deliver rapid-response housing repairs, maintenance, and improvement services to ensure that our customers’ homes are safe and maintained to high standard.
About the role
We currently have an opportunity for a Skilled Labourer to join our Empty homes team primarily covering Crewe. The successful candidate will assist qualified trades personnel and work alone, working in customers’ homes to carry out minor repairs, clearance and clean works within and outside the property, including groundworks and painting.
To be considered for this vacancy, you must live within 30 minutes travelling distance of the working area. You will require a full UK driving licence as you will be provided with a company vehicle and a mobile device.

Essential experience:
- Proven ability to carry out minor remedial building works to a competent standard such as (but not limited to) groundworks and painting.
- Experience of working in a customer focused environment within agreed performance targets.
- Proven ability to work methodically, follow agreed procedures and accurately record data and information.
- Ability to carry out physical tasks and lift weights in accordance with Health and Safety guidelines.
- Ability to operate safely having considered any environmental circumstances and possible risks including working at height(s).
- Must hold a current full UK driving licence.
- Demonstrate the Guinness Behaviours.
Desirable experience and qualifications:
- Health and Safety Knowledge.
- Excellent organisation and time management skills.
- Level II NVQ or relevant experience
- Experience of working within the social housing sector.
- Experience of cleaning and clearing homes.
- PASMA.

Your Welcome Bonus is payable in 2 parts. £500 is paid in your first month’s salary and £500 is paid when you pass your probation. To be eligible for the Welcome Bonus you must be an external applicant and not currently employed by The Guinness Partnership.
