Skilled Manual/CNC Machinists Sheffield Full Time £34,000 - £39,000 dependant on skill set

Our client is the UK s leading forge master in the oil and gas industry and has recently acquired accreditations for the Nuclear and Aerospace industries. With over 40 years of experience in forging, the company are specialists in creating bespoke products using open-die forging.

They currently have fantastic opportunities for skilled Machinists, who will be responsible for operating a variety of machine tools. The job holder will be working to production schedules, machining a variety of components and materials to the tolerances specified.

The ideal candidates will be proficient in either Manual, CNC Machining or both, with experience of working within a Machine Shop environment in the metals industry. Work is predominantly Turning with some Milling opportunities, operating with Fanuc controls. You will be responsible for ensuring production documentation conforms with relevant quality standards and maintaining a safe and tidy work area.

Along with skills in the above area, the successful candidate will have:-

• A keen eye for detail
• Be organised, methodical and take pride in their work
• Have the ability to use measuring instruments such as micrometres and callipers
• Overhead crane/slinging and lifting skills
• Be an excellent team player with good communication skills

These are permanent, full-time positions, with two different shift options available: -

Mornings and Nights alternating weeks of: -

• Mornings - Monday to Friday, 6am to 2pm
• Nights - Monday to Thursday, 8pm to 6am

Mornings and Afternoons alternating weeks of: -

• Mornings - Monday to Friday, 5:45am to 1:45pm
• Afternoons - Monday to Thursday, 1:45pm to 10:15pm, Friday, 1:45pm to 7:45pm
