Are you an experienced and motivated manager who can lead and support service delivery and provide high quality support and supervision to a team of various professionals?
We have an opportunity for you to join us to work as part of a team managing the Social Work Hospital Discharge team within South Lanarkshire Council Health and Social Care partnership.
You should be an experienced practitioner or an existing manager who wishes to extend their knowledge and experience. As Operational Manager you will deliver a quality service, while ensuring effective use of resources are maintained and within approved budgets. You will provide operational support and specialist social work advice to the Hospital Social Work Team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for social work, maintaining a strength based and outcome focused approach, you will guide the team with a focus on supporting individuals with a safe and timely discharge from an acute hospital site; implementing South Lanarkshire Council Adult Support and Protection (Scotland) Act 2007, procedures, and Adults with Incapacity (Scotland) Act 2000, legislation to protect and support adults at risk. You will develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with the leads for other professions within the multi-disciplinary team. You will promote the value of social work within the Multi-Disciplinary Team ensuring that social care governance is always embedded in practice.
Regular supervision is provided by the Fieldwork Manager and full support will be offered to the successful candidate by the Adult and Older People's Services Management Team.
You must be registered with Scottish Social Services Council and hold a Degree in Social Work qualification or equivalent.
This post is accepted in terms of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 2003.
The successful candidate will be subject to a criminal records check provided by Disclosure Scotland.
