Snr Quality Engineer - Automotive

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Quality Engineer to join our dynamic team within the automotive industry. As a key player in our organisation, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the business to achieve the highest standards of quality, ensuring compliance with the Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG) standards. Your primary responsibilities will include the effective management of internal processes to meet International Automotive Task Force (IATF) requirements, as well as daily oversight of customer and supplier concerns.

Key Responsibilities:

IATF Compliance:

• Lead and drive initiatives to ensure compliance with IATF standards.
• Develop, implement, and maintain robust quality management systems.
• Conduct internal audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and drive continuous improvement.

Customer and Supplier Management:

• Act as the primary point of contact for customer and supplier quality concerns.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address and resolve quality issues promptly.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers, ensuring their expectations are met or exceeded.

Problem Solving and Root Cause Analysis:

• Utilise effective problem-solving techniques, such as 8D, to address and resolve quality issues.
• Conduct root cause analysis to identify the underlying causes of quality concerns and implement corrective actions.

Quality Metrics and Reporting:

• Develop and monitor key quality metrics to track performance and drive improvement.
• Prepare regular reports on quality performance for management review.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Proven experience in a senior Quality Engineering role within the automotive industry.
• In-depth knowledge of IATF standards and AIAG core tools.
• Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across functional teams.
