About the Job:
This Children and Families Social Worker position is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and passionate Social Worker to make a positive impact on the lives of children and families. You will be joining a close-knit team with manageable caseloads and a focus on fostering a supportive and collaborative work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of children and families to determine their needs and develop effective intervention plans.
- Manage a diverse caseload, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to children and families, with a focus on promoting their well-being and safeguarding.
- Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners, including health professionals, schools, and other community resources, to provide holistic support to families.
- Prepare and present evidence for court proceedings when necessary, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Advocate for the rights and best interests of children and families, promoting their participation in decision-making processes.
- Provide support, guidance, and practical assistance to families to enhance their capacity for independent living and parenting.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, ensuring that all documentation meets professional and regulatory standards.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Possession of a recognized social work qualification and registration with the relevant professional body (HCPC).
- Proven experience in children and families social work, with a strong understanding of child protection issues, family dynamics, and the legal framework.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, families, and colleagues.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and contribute positively to a supportive and dynamic work environment.
- A flexible and adaptable approach to work, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing learning and development within the field of social work.
