About the Job:

This Children and Families Social Worker position is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and passionate Social Worker to make a positive impact on the lives of children and families. You will be joining a close-knit team with manageable caseloads and a focus on fostering a supportive and collaborative work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct comprehensive assessments of children and families to determine their needs and develop effective intervention plans.
2. Manage a diverse caseload, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to children and families, with a focus on promoting their well-being and safeguarding.
3. Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners, including health professionals, schools, and other community resources, to provide holistic support to families.
4. Prepare and present evidence for court proceedings when necessary, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
5. Advocate for the rights and best interests of children and families, promoting their participation in decision-making processes.
6. Provide support, guidance, and practical assistance to families to enhance their capacity for independent living and parenting.
7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, ensuring that all documentation meets professional and regulatory standards.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Possession of a recognized social work qualification and registration with the relevant professional body (HCPC).
• Proven experience in children and families social work, with a strong understanding of child protection issues, family dynamics, and the legal framework.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, families, and colleagues.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and contribute positively to a supportive and dynamic work environment.
• A flexible and adaptable approach to work, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
• Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing learning and development within the field of social work.
