Description
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Social Worker - Senior (Grade 8) to join our team. As a Senior Social Worker, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive social work services to individuals, families, and communities in need. With your expertise and compassion, you will contribute to improving the well-being and quality of life for the people we serve.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough assessments to identify the needs and concerns of individuals and families
Develop and implement effective treatment plans and interventions to address identified issues
Provide counseling and support to clients to help them cope with various life challenges
Collaborate with other professionals, such as psychologists, counselors, and medical practitioners, to ensure holistic care
Advocate for clients' rights and work towards resolving legal and administrative issues
Participate in case conferences and multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss complex cases and develop suitable strategies
Provide supervision, guidance, and training to other Social Workers and staff members
Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution
Valid state licensure as a Social Worker
Proven experience in providing social work services, preferably in a senior capacity
In-depth knowledge of social work theories, practices, and ethical standards
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build effective relationships with clients and colleagues
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Knowledge of local resources and support networks for referral purposes
Hours Per Week: 37.00
Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 17:00
Pay Per Hour: £18.81
Location: Cardiff, Cardiff County
