Spectrum IT have partnered with a small but passionate digital product studio in the heart of Southampton. They're not your average digital agency! They go above and beyond to ask the detailed questions and ensure they provide a transformative impact on organisations through good design and the right technology.
A lot of their work is heavily customized & complex WordPress websites above that which your standard agency can provide, as such, they need a talented web developer with an in-depth understanding of both PHP and the WordPress framework. As a Web developer there you will be constantly solving complex software issues, writing raw PHP code and building new themes. The role will challenge both your ability as a developer and allow you to create truly unique work that you can be proud of.
What skills & experience will you need to succeed?
PHP Web Development is the core skill set but you'll also need a strong understanding of WordPress.

• The ability to write raw PHP code from scratch without a framework
• An expert knowledge of the WordPress framework and it's more complex features
• Prior experience building customized WordPress themes
• Building WordPress sites without the use of page-builders or ready made themes/plugins
• Troubleshooting complex software issues
• Strong communication and customer service skills, consulting and probing to get to the hear of the problem
