Software Tester

A SaaS company in Aberdeen, that works with some household brands, is looking for a Software Tester to join the team.

Up until about 6 months ago, the Developers and Support team covered the testing function but as have embarked on a big migration from desktop to web, they have the need for a dedicated Software Tester to join. With the growth planned in the technology team, this is an amazing time to join and make your mark!

What will I be doing?
You will be a driving force for the automation, so they do need someone with commercial experience in both manual and automated testing. This will be an opportunity to take control of the entire test function and lead the company into a modern delivery of test.

Confidence is key in this role as you will be the sole tester and required to continuously make the business case for automation within the company. It's a really great opportunity to mould the test function how see fit, you would be joining a company where your opinions will definitely be heard.

You will most likely have the following skills and experience:
Tech wise, they are a C# and Java house, but any experience with scripting languages will be a bonus here! (e.g. Python, JavaScript etc.) - for the automation.
** Manual and automated testing experience
** Knowledge of emerging trends and technologies impacting testing
** Experience in a wide variety of testing methodologies i.e. Integration, Regression and System Testing

Location and Benefits
The company are offering a salary of £38,000 and offer a strong benefits package, with all the usual perks plus and more.

Right now, the technology department are fully remote, coming onsite for quarterly meetups, so you'd ideally attend those - with their office based in Aberdeen.

This role does require you to have full rights to work within the UK and unfortunately cannot offer sponsorship.
