The Role
This vacancy is in the Planning Team which provides legal advice and assistance on a wide range of issues, giving you the opportunity to work on matters ranging from commons to listed buildings, redevelopment schemes to contamination, planning enforcement to highways, CPOs, BNG and ecology.
You will work remotely from home most of the time, with occasional attendance at the Council House in Walsall, to carry out specific tasks, attend meetings, training, hearings and inquiries, and Planning Committee, as required. Planning Committee is held monthly but attended by solicitors on a rota basis meaning you will attend 4-6 meetings a year.

You
- will have considerable experience in Town and Country Planning.
- will have experience or an interest in environmental, transportation, housing, regeneration and governance.
- will be able to efficiently manage your own caseload.
- will provide high quality well researched legal advice and assistance to client departments and to our Members.
- will be a qualified Solicitor and hold a current practising certificate.
This role will suit a Solicitor with an analytical focus and an aptitude for research and problem solving.
