My Client, a well-established law firm, is actively seeking an experienced Private Client locum to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to help individuals and families plan for their futures and manage their affairs with confidence.
You will play a crucial role in providing expert legal advice and support to clients across Lancashire, the North West, and nationally. You will manage a small team and handle a straigtforward caseload with nothing contentious, guiding clients through a wide range of matters, including:
- Wills & Mirror Wills: Draft legally sound wills and mirror wills that accurately reflect clients' wishes.
- Trusts: Provide advice on setting up and managing trusts to protect and distribute assets effectively.
- Registering a Trust: Assist clients with the legal requirements and registrations involved in managing trusts.
- Inheritance Tax Planning: Develop strategies to minimize the impact of inheritance tax and preserve clients' estates for their beneficiaries.
- Making a Lasting Power of Attorney: Help clients create Lasting Powers of Attorney to ensure their wishes are respected should they become unable to make decisions.
- Probate & Administration of Estates: Guide clients through the probate process, including asset distribution and debt settlement according to the deceased's will or intestacy laws.
- Court of Protection Applications: Assist with applications and legal matters related to the Court of Protection in cases where individuals are unable to make decisions for themselves.
- Qualified solicitor with expertise Private Client services.
- Demonstrated experience in wills, trusts, probate, and related areas.
- Strong understanding of relevant legal regulations and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
