About the team
Operate Digital is the central function that creates and runs technology. We also transform the way our clients use technology in delivering assets to our clients across a wide range of business processes. Working with industry leading, alliance partners across architecture, development, and multiple other technologies, we interact with all technology platforms and provide tangible technology delivery at scale.
Skills and experience
Extensive experience working in an architecture role through the end-to-end Software Development Lifecyle (SDLC), including understanding of the architecture domains and the ability to work collaboratively with engineers to provide architectural direction and support the development of technical designs.
Innovative and analytical mindset to evolve current and new solutions into scalable, repeatable services
Strategic mindset to align solutions with and to deliver the Operate and EMS strategy
Solution design governance and assurance experience including generating high level design documentation and supporting design artefacts to meet organisational technical design assurance and risk requirements
Experience in designing cloud enabled solutions (Azure or AWS)
Experience of designing solutions that utilise Power Platform and wider Microsoft ecosystem
Understanding of engineering concepts and the ability to work collaboratively to design optimum solutions
Awareness or design and delivery experience across some of the following technologies: Omnichannel Technologies (such as Amazon Connect), CRM (Salesforce / Microsoft Dynamics), Oracle Fusion / SAP S4/HANA /Workday, Finance Management, Cloud (Microsoft Azure/AWS/GCP), Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx, ServiceNow.
Wider knowledge of secure design principles, services, controls and data ETL
Role Description and Responsibilities
As a Solution Architect you are responsible for evaluating clients and PwC’s business needs and determining how IT can support those needs leveraging software, hardware or infrastructure. You will primarily focus on understanding technology and capabilities, then evaluating these against business/client needs and proposing solutions. They are responsible for leading a project's technical vision to success. This role may include the leadership of teams of architects as they solve complex technical challenges.
Lead a project or product’s technical vision to success
Leadership of architecture and design, including coaching more junior members of the team
Provide solution and technical design to ensure consistent, compliant and strategic alignment with firm standards and Operates platform ecosystem
Advise clients/business on all aspects of technology standards, processes and best practices
Work with Operate Digital’s Technical Design Authority, embedding into solution design governance and assurance frameworks
Support design, development and implementation of digital assets to underpin the delivery of repeatable services at pace and scale
Provide support for the pursuit or rejection of key opportunities that require a substantial technology component
Leading on the evaluation of technology options and selection based on requirements (including build / buy / partner / reuse)
