Job Description
JOB TITLE: Sourcing Manager - Data Services
SALARY: £57,546 - £63,940
LOCATIONS: Edinburgh, Bristol, Halifax or Birmingham
HOURS: Full-Time
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites
About This Opportunity
This role is in the Data Services Sourcing team where our sourcing activity includes Market Data, Business information and data used for Credit Decisioning. You'll lead sourcing projects across the Group, focussed on making sure the right data is coming into the right areas, driving effective spend management and optimising commercial and risk outcomes.
You'll be working with a broad range of partners to source new 3rd party data solutions as well as optimising, renegotiating, or re-tendering services provided by existing suppliers. The services support a wide range of business units and functions. These include trading activities in Corporate and Institutional Banking, onboarding of both business and retail customers, supporting fund management across Insurance, Pensions and Investment and tracking our progress against LBG's sustainability goals.

Your Responsibilities
  • Leading Sourcing activities across the Data Services category to generate the best possible commercial outcomes as well as bringing innovation to the business
  • Delivering opportunities that drive financial benefits and deliver value for services through the identification of cost saving initiatives in line with the Group’s targets and objectives
  • Inputting into category strategies reflecting external regulatory changes and market conditions
  • Working collaboratively with business colleagues, other internal partners and third-party suppliers to optimally run all aspects of a sourcing project lifecycle ensuring the best value in support of LBG strategy
  • Maintaining an up-to-date awareness of own specialist area and market dynamics, taking action accordingly to ensure the best contracts are in place to meet partner needs
  • Undertaking activities in line with all relevant Group policies and within Group risk appetite
  • Using the sourcing system (SAP Ariba) to provide an efficient and auditable sourcing trail that will ensure robust risk management
  • Working hand in hand with the supplier management teams to develop and implement the appropriate supplier governance structure ensuring effective contract handover

What You'll Need?
We're looking for a self-motivated, proactive person who wants to work as part of a team and is keen to immerse themselves in the category. The following will support you to succeed in the role:
  • Sourcing (procurement) experience
  • Strong internal and external partner management skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong Commercial awareness
  • Ability to prioritise workload and work across multiple projects
  • Keenness to learn about the data environment in LBG and across the Market
