Position Title:
Sous Chef with progression toSite Head Chef
Mamuśka! Polish Kitchen and Bar – the most-loved Polish restaurant brand in London has recovered from the pandemic getting busier at our 250 seat flagship location in Southbank Waterloo.
With a Head Chef who has helped grow the business over the past 12 years and a kitchen specifically built for our menu, this is an amazing opportunity to develop your skills and get ready to run a kitchen at this or a new location on your own! By that time, our Head Chef will be busy managing new openings and running the food side of the business as Executive Chef.
This is a hands-on role. We’ve seen chefs who use the title to lean against a fridge while providing no direction or support, and we are definitely not interested in that!
We are looking for a senior chef who can manage a team and who can lead from the front, producing amazing Polish food in large quantities one day, and who is amazingly fast on the line, serving up a meal every 30 seconds the next!
If you can already do both and you are not afraid of hard work and responsibility, we want to see you in action!
Our new Sous Chef will know Polish cuisine very well and speak a good level of English so that you can deal with suppliers and colleagues from across London’s various linguistic communities. In addition, we are looking for a person:
- whose main focus is on food safety and food authenticity and quality and kitchen cleanliness,
- who pays keen attention to health and safety,
- who can deliver on critical portion control methods,
- who is organised and can schedule food production,
- who has outstanding speed, especially on the line,
- who will be diplomatic and ethical while executing strong person-management.
The design of our restaurant is amazing and the whole experience is brilliant for customers and staff alike. To become a part of the team please send a short cover letter and your CV with your mobile number via the link below.
We will be back in contact to set up a trial shift with our Head Chef.

£42,000 per annum (including service charge)
