Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant

About the role
We are looking for people who have experience in any of the following: Drama, Dance, Art, Music or Media to take the skills and knowledge that you have and work in a setting where you use them supporting children in a Special Educational Needs school environment. You would be working in the capacity of a SEN Creative Arts Teaching Assistant, providing vital support to both teachers and pupils. You will be required to work closely with pupils, including positive relationships to help them to get the most out of their time in education, while at the same time utilising your knowledge of the Creative Arts.
You will be working with children with complex needs who require the additional support in lessons
You will be working with a large established team, building strong relationships and working proactively on a child-first approach.
To be considered for the role of you will:
- Able to obtain suitable references and a valid DBS check*
- Have recent experience working with children or vunerable adults either in school or care settings.
- Have a warm and friendly nature to be able to build positive relationships with pupils
- Have a Creative Arts background that you can incorporate into schools
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
- *All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.
