Physiotherapist
Fixed Term 1 year - to cover secondment
This post provides an exciting opportunity for an innovative and enthusiastic Physiotherapist to join our Community Rehabilitation team based at Hawick Community Hospital. If you are motivated and passionate about person-centred services which support the wellbeing of people to live and age well in communities, then get in touch.
A broad range of post graduate experience including working in a variety of specialities eg, medical, stroke/neurology, Orthopaedics, Care of the Elderly/Rehab, MSK is essential. Experience of working in the Community would be desirable.
The post will involve working closely with the multi-disciplinary team to assess and treat patients with the aim of maximising independence and facilitating prompt discharge. The post holder will work within the AHP Hawick Community Team providing input to the community hospital inpatients, long term condition outpatients and the Home First Service. The Home First Service provides short term input within the home setting with a reablement approach to maximise independence on discharge from hospital and to prevent hospital admission.
Ongoing personal and professional development is essential to provide a quality service and is supported through CPD, appraisals and in-service training.
The Borders is a beautiful place in which to live and work. It has affordable housing, good schools and is well connected with the Borders railway.

Please note: the salary quoted is for full-time hours (37.5 hrs per week). For appointments to part-time hours, the salary will be pro-rata.
