The post involves the provision of an all-age audiology service across the Trust, working as part of a multidisciplinary team. This includes the assessment and rehabilitation of a caseload of patients with hearing and balance difficulties, including some with direct access. Work may be of a specialised nature requiring advanced skills and a high degree of responsibility and autonomy (including provision of off-site clinics). The requirements of the post will also include the provision of a managerial function within the service, and clinical supervision of junior and trainee staff. The post holder will work with the Head of Service and senior team to ensure that clinical and professional standards are maintained at all times. Responsible for ensuring timely & efficient assessment and / or management of patients, as per key result areas. Works closely with the Head of Service, senior staff, team members and administrative/clerical staff within the Audiology department, along with associated external clinical and non-clinical staff within the Trust. Contributes to various departmental management and service development tasks, with support from senior staff. Provides clinical supervision to junior and trainee staff within the department.
