Address We have some excellent news that an opportunity has arisen in the Group People Services team for a Specialist People Co-Ordinator (Overpayments) focusing on overpayments and absence related transactions. Please note this is a secondment opportunity until December 31st. This is not a permanent opportunity.
What You'll Do:
- Deliver consistent and clear information to line managers and employees regarding the overpayments cases you handle
- Adhere to stringent procedure and maintain accurate records working within the confines of HR Policies
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert in your field to own, investigate and resolve critical issues or complex cases within your area of specialism
- Provide pay instructions to external payroll provider through complex calculations relating to overpayments in basic pay, company and statutory sick pay and benefits
- Work to tight SLAs ensuring that overpayments are recorded, assessed and escalated as necessary
- Stakeholder engagement with the ability to lead calls, prepare and analyse data and work in partnership to deliver core accountabilities
- Take ownership for continuous improvement activity, scoping, shaping and delivering it with the Manager and Head of Function
What You'll Bring:
- Experience of working on complex pay and absence related enquiries, ensuring that findings are accurate and delivered timely
- Experience of handling high volumes under pressure and re-prioritising to meet deadlines
- Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail
- Proven track record to interact with key colleagues and the confidence to lead calls
- Fantastic communication skills with a demonstrable track record in handling difficult conversations
- A flexible attitude with an eagerness to learn and continuously improve our processes and ways of working
- Functional knowledge of MS Excel or the enthusiasm and ability to learn
