Detailed job description and main responsibilities: To deliver a clinical service to patients, including taking patient drug histories, rationalising prescribing, advising on and compiling treatment protocols, therapeutic drug monitoring and monitoring compliance whilst in the relevant CMG rotation. To participate in the delivery of optimum pharmaceutical care to patients served by the clinical directorate on specified ward(s) / clinics and deliver a level of clinical input commensurate with the grade. To contribute to the management of the directorate drugs budget via regular expenditure analysis feedback and participate in structured ongoing drug use audits to ensure optimal drug usage. To provide education and training to all other healthcare staff as appropriate To participate in late duty, weekend and bank holiday cover in accordance with departmental rotas.
