As a Specification Sales Manager/Technical BDM, you will take responsibility for managing identification, activity, and engagement with National and Regional House builders to create new business demand for products, gaining maximum value from housing agreements and market share through our client’s value and product leadership proposition, whilst also creating demand for new products and services through specification.
 
Salary: £42,000 - £52,000 + Very Attractive Bonus Structure, Car/Allowance & More Benefits
Location: UK (Working from home covering your local region)
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Delivery of monthly specification targets leading to the overall achievement of the company revenue and volume targets with a geographical area
  • Responsibility for the commercial success of housing projects, working collaboratively with the house builder to ensure maximum commercial advantage and commitment through the supply chain, ensuring compliance across all sites.
  • Provide technical support and advice to customers including creation of specifications.
  • Work closely with sales team to ensure compliance and conversation of the supply chain agreements and project success.
  • Implements the sales delivery element of the marketing plan, interacting across all channels and promoting to customers NPD and specific marketing strategies enabling them to achieve, maintain and grow market position.
  • To record, monitor and manage all project, package, company, contact, and actions within CRM daily to ensure regular and effective communication across all relevant functions.
  • Continually promote value and product proposition to meet customer and business needs.
  • Undertake any other duties as may be required by your Line Manager or the Executive team, consistent with the scope of the job.
 
Skills & Experience:
 
  • Technical Sales Professional – Specifier, Contractor, and Project Sales
  • Educated to GCSE Maths and English, A-Level or equivalent.
  • MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CRM systems experience
  • A practiced salesperson who is highly customer focused, able to anticipate and adapt to customer needs and expectations and develop and maintain customer relationships.
  • Technical excellence and influencing skills.
  • A good team player internally and externally
  • Technical and practical knowledge of construction products and RIBA project stages
 
Recruitment Process
