About the Q&C team: We are a small but dynamic team, responsible for ensuring St Pierre brands are safe, legal, authentic and of the highest quality. About the role: As Specification Technologist you’ll be responsible for the legal compliance of product specifications and legal artwork review. You’ll also be involved in supporting the wider business to ensure all communication is fully compliant and communicated effectively, that includes consumer queries, marketing materials and communications with our bakery partners. Key responsibilities include:
- Review and approval of product specifications.
- Generation of legal pack copy for artwork.
- Review and legal approval of product packaging.
- Issuing product specification/artwork updates.
- Working on retailer own brand specification systems.
- Communicating with bakeries and customers.
- Support wider business with regulatory advice.
- Potential to develop role to work on US/Global business – training will be provided.
About you: Our successful candidate will be degree qualified with good, relevant experience in a similar role as a Specification Technologist, in a busy, fast paced environment. Your profile will include:
- BSc Accredited Degree (Hons) in Food Technology or similar
- A keen eye for detail, a multi-tasker, who can manage workload and deadlines.
- Excellent verbal, interpersonal skills, a good communicator, and team player.
- Previous experience of specification systems.
- Confident IT user – proficient in MS Office (essential), and TEAMs (advantageous), additional training can be provided.
- Legal labels trained.
- Understanding of HACCP and Food Safety (including microbiology).
- Additional language (French/Spanish) would be magnifique but is not essential.
