Position: Speech and Language Teaching Assistant

Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Speech and Language Teaching Assistant to join our inclusive and vibrant school community. Your role will be pivotal in supporting students with visual and sensory impairments, helping them to achieve their full potential through targeted intervention classes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering tailored Speech and Language intervention sessions using PECS.
- Supporting students with visual and sensory impairments in their communication and learning.
- Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and parents to create and implement individualized education plans.
- Monitoring and recording students' progress, adapting strategies as needed.
- Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters student development.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Speech and Language Teaching Assistant.
- Proficiency in using Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS).
- Experience working with students with visual and sensory impairments.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
