Speech And Language Therapy

Reed have partnered with an SEN school in West London who are looking for a Speech and Language Therapist to join their team. The position will be 3 days a week and will be in person & virtual. The position will run until the end of the academic year.

Responsibilities: 

1. Provide assessments of service users based upon the appropriate use, interpretation and integration of information
2. Provide timely and accurate reports that provide a diagnosis, assessment and recommendations and comply with best practice guidelines
3. Communicate in a skilled and sensitive manner, information concerning the communication assessment, formulation and treatment plans of service users and to monitor progress during the course of both individual and multi-disciplinary care
4. Work with service users and other members of the MDT to achieve identified goals and to promote social inclusion, independence and well-being
5. Formulate and implement treatment programmes for the management of service user's communication needs and provide advice to service users with communication difficulties
6. Develop and implement individual interventions, in collaboration with service users and the MDT to achieve therapeutic goals

Requirements:

1. Hold a minimum of a 2:1 Psychology-related degree
2. 12 months previous experience in a similar role
3. Have a bubbly, patient and personable attitude
4. Previous experience working with children in an educational setting
5. Clear Enhanced DBS on the updated service
