The Opportunity:
We have a great opportunity for a Sponsorship Sale Manager to work on the US-portfolio for a specialist energy full value chain networking platform, focused on high-level events and initiatives. Energy Council is a 15-year established brand that runs a series of successful events for its global network of investors, financiers, energy, and technology providers.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to build on the success, growth in sales and strategy of the company, as they expand their reach across the portfolio in the upstream and midstream sector.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, who thrives in working within a team, whilst also having autonomy, using their creativity to shape the business moving forwards. The main qualities required are enthusiasm, determination, confidence, and someone who is ready to take their sales skills and energy to the next level!
Key Responsibilities:
- Delegate and Sponsorship Sales, ensuring the event sales plan is being delivered to plan, on target and within budget.
- Identification of new commercial opportunities and the development of new revenue streams.
- Knowledge of key market drivers and the ability to reflect them in the direction and output of the
- Maintain a strong level of market and industry knowledge through personal research (over the phone and in person) to identify pain points and new potential revenue streams.
- Knowledge of the competitive landscape and ability to convey key USPs for relevant conferences.
- Work effectively with both the Production (project management) and Sales team when required.
- Working hours are GMT 11:00 – 19:30.
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills & Behaviours:
- Previous sales experience (not specific to energy or events).
- A desire to travel and an interest in the oil & gas and energy industry.
- A self-starter who can work in a fast-paced environment and a proactive attitude.
- Ability to build relationships and sell to both senior executives and businesses.
- Experience in growing a new account would be advantageous.
- The ability to identify and successfully engage with companies unfamiliar with the Energy Council.
- The ability to gauge client objectives quickly and provide achievable objectives.
- Commercially/growth minded, and revenue driven.
- A proven track record of delivering revenue against target.
- Ability to actively track/detail activities on a CRM platform.
- Excellent organisational skills and able to multitask, working on multiple events at the same time.
