Sports Assistant

Sports Assistant / Sports TechnicianSurrey, KT2 6RL

• Sports Assistant- 18.5 hours per week, term time only (GBP11.44 per hour)
• Sports Technician- 35 hours per week, term time only (GBP11.50 per hour)
• Permanent positions

About the roles:

We are looking to appoint two candidates to join our thriving school to support the department as a Sports Assistant and a Sports Technician.

Sports Assistant responsibilities:

• Teach and supervise groups during timetabled lessons (13:45 to 15:30)
• Coach extracurricular sports training sessions
• Supervise transport to sporting activities
• Manage and coach school teams and cover P.E lessons in cases of staff absence

Sports Technician (strength and conditioning) responsibilities:

• Teach groups during timetabled games lessons at our school playing fields
• Supervise and coach extracurricular sports training sessions
• Manage and coach teams
• Maintain sports equipment and ensure storage rooms are kept tidy
• Help with organisation and the general running of the sports department
• Conduct gym induction sessions for sports participants

Our ideal candidates will have:

• The appropriate qualifications in sports science, physical education, or a related field
• Experience in managing and maintaining sports equipment
• Strong admin skills and proficiency in ICT
• Enthusiasm for promoting sports and physical activity
