Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world. The Sr Business Development Regional Lead-Europe/Middle East, will play a pivotal role in defining and selling customer-oriented services for Kuiper satellite communication services serving international government customers (specifically Europe/Middle East region). The successful candidate will have deep understanding of satellite broadband and telecommunication services for consumer, enterprise, telecom, transportation and government customers across the globe.
Amazon Kuiper is looking for experienced, self-starter Business Development Leaders to drive adoption of Kuiper broadband and additional services with Kuiper Government customers. This is an exciting opportunity to own the definition and execution of the Amazon Kuiper Business Development strategy in various regions around the world, both for government broadband services and space-space communications

• Execute the strategic Business Development plan for Kuiper Government Solutions’ approach to Europe/Middle East Government customers, while working with key internal stakeholders (e.g., Amazon Kuiper Government product and engineering teams, legal, support)
• Identify the policy, budgetary and strategic context for Kuiper Government Solutions opportunities with Europe/Middle East Government customers
• Develop customer relationships with Europe/Middle East Government customers
• As the voice of the customer, your findings will influence product teams to help them evolve the products and address issues, concerns, and requests from the field. To be successful, you will need to analyze and determine key customer insights from business drivers, market trends, customer feedback, and operating metrics.
• Develop and execute an approach for pipeline discrimination and development
• Develop Service Level Agreements (SLA) which reflect government customer requirements and Kuiper network capabilities
• Develop strategic partnerships to build Kuiper Government opportunities
• Work with Amazon and Kuiper legal, marketing, Export Control and Public Policy teams to close government and strategic partnership opportunities
• Manage complex contract negotiations and complex business requirements and activities which deliver results
• Adept at thinking strategically and analytically about business, product, and technical challenges, with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions, and work cross-organizationally to build consensus.
• Excellent written and verbal communications including a passion for writing detailed strategic documents
• Consistently exceeds key performance metrics and Delivers Results
• Some travel, both domestic and international, will be required

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree
- 7+ years developing SATCOM sales strategies for government customers.
- Experience developing and executing sales strategy for new product lines
- 7+ years of experience working with emerging solutions and providers including experience with SATCOM and/or cloud computing technology with international government customers.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- MBA/Technical Master’s Degree
- Experience working with new product/service development teams and their outbound functions
- Track record of building rapport with key Civil customers, building close relationships, and helping customers execute on large engagements.
- Experience and success in negotiating complex deals with customers and partners.
- Experience with international government SATCOM projects and needs (Specifically: Europe/Middle East)Experience carrying quotas, while consistently exceeded them by doing the right thing for customers
- Motivated self-starter, proactive and action-oriented
- Strategic problem solving and collaboration skills
- Extensive experience Satellite communication or Satellite Operations.
- Must be able to understand and articulate the business value & technical overview.
