Form of workCammach are working with a major Oil & Gas Operator based in Aberdeen, to recruit a Head of Projects & Engineering on STAFF basis. This is a senior leadership role within the UK business reporting to the Director of Operations. Client offers very lucrative salary and excellent package. Key responsibilities:
- This role is a senior leadership role within the UK business reporting to the Director of Operations. The role is high visibility and the incumbent will be a key leadership role model for the UK organisation.
- Main purpose of the role is to lead all Projects & Engineering activity pertaining to the UK. To initiate, and ensure the achievement of, development/pre-engineering (appraise, concept select and concept define), engineering and construction (including SIMOPS operations), to achieve an effective and efficient construction, installation, hook-up, and pre-com / commissioning and of oil and gas production facilities in line with Operator objectives, policy and procedures.
- Manage all Project responsibilities (CAPEX, ABEX and OPEX for the UK Location).
- The role is accountable for the talent management, development and succession planning of the Projects & Engineering team.
- The Head of Projects & Engineering will develop strong relationships with peers in regulatory and industry bodies in order to support the business and the efforts of the Projects & Engineering team.
Key requirements:
- Relevant university degree. In special cases, relevant work experience may compensate for limited formal education.
- Considerable experience working in a similar role with an Operator.
- Extensive experience in the oil and gas sector in a Projects & Engineering setting required
- Experience from development and execution of major projects in an E&P company
- Excellent knowledge of rules and regulations of the UKCS
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with a variety of stakeholders
- Strong HSE leadership skills
