Job Title: Trainee Project Engineer

Reporting to: Operations Director

Based: Altens, Aberdeen

Main duties and responsibilities

· Support the co-ordination of company activities to ensure the on time, on budget and on quality delivery of projects in accordance with client’s requirements.

· Fully ascertain, understand and address all customer requirements. Liaise with customers to question, clarify or develop their requirements.

· Assist with the management and reporting of projects using the Company’s ERP system (Progress Plus).

· Help with the timely production of offshore / site work packs, manifests, tooling, surveys, quality documentation and quotations.

· Ensure that all work under their control is completed to agreed scheduled target dates.

· Deal with client third part inspectors.

· Support the timely generation and submission of quotes and other relevant documents for client approval (tenders / work packs / method statements).

· Work with Company QHSE , checking that all relevant certificates for all company equipment / third party hired equipment are checked, manifested and approved for offshore use or factory/site use.

· Maintain and report weekly project updates.

· Updating of P+ as required for forward load and forecasting.

· Update manpower resource sheet on a weekly basis for offshore and site.

· Update and issue current client reports on a weekly basis.

· Maintenance of sales order and enquiry “promised dates” in P+ to ensure accurate forecasting.

· Attend appropriate meetings for reporting purposes when required.

· Adhere to all Company policies and procedures including quality, safety, environmental and HR.

· Work in a manner that protects the health, safety and welfare of self and others.

· Work with colleagues to continuously improve the company’s working practices.

· IT literate with specific experience using Microsoft Excel, Word programs & MSproject .
