Staff Nurse - Day Ward

Job Description:

We are currently seeking an experienced Staff Nurse to join our clients Day Ward team in Limerick. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cannulation and possess expertise in pre and post-operative care. As a Staff Nurse in the Day Ward, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our day surgery services.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive pre-operative and post-operative care to patients.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and administer medications as prescribed.
• Assist in the admission and discharge process, ensuring patients are comfortable and well-informed.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care delivery.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and infection control protocols at all times.

Requirements:

• Registered Nurse with current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
• Minimum of 1 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a day surgery or outpatient setting.
• Proficiency in cannulation is essential.
• Demonstrated competency in pre and post-operative care.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize workload accordingly.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety and comfort.
