NuStaff Recruitment have been instructed by a leading manufacturing business who seek a Steel Welder to join them for up to 3 months.
Principal duties include:
- Mark out material to the drawing requirements.
- Prepare material where required, i.e., drill, saw and shear.
- Tack up and weld components into the finished assemblies.
- Competent in reading and understanding comprehensive engineering drawings.
- Ensuring everything manufactured is built accurately.
- Ensure that non-conforming material is clearly identified and segregated.
- Ensure that the escalation procedure for quality concerns is followed.
- Ensure achievement of production throughput against stated capacity targets.
- Work positively with support functions to fully define the processes / procedures / controls relevant to team activities. Provide support and input to continuous improvement activities within the team.
- MIG/TIG experience.
- Perform welding/ manufacturing operations in line with quality standards.
- Maintain health & Safety in the workplace, ensure work area is kept in accordance with housekeeping Standards whilst demonstrating respect for environmental requirements.
- Communicate any production or productivity issues to the Senior Welder or Production Manager.
- Embracing and contributing to the teamwork culture when required.
- Maintain maximum production efficiency.
- Some degree of flexibility may be required to maximize production efficiency.
Salary
- £14 - 16 per hour
Working Hours
- Monday - Thursday 7:30am - 4pm
- Friday 7:30am - 1pm
