Job description

Our global pharmaceutical client located in Milton Keynes are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Stock Allocation Specialist to join their team. The Stock Allocation Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the accurate allocation of stock based on various factors such as volume received, market share, and customer demand. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to collaborate closely with various teams.

This is a full-time temporary contract role initially signed off for 6 months with a possible extension. Our client offers hybrid working (minimum of 2 days per week in the office and 3 days per week working from home) and offers a rate of 14.09 - 15.38 per hour depending on experience, plus 25 days holiday pro rata.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Insights team to calculate Stock Allocation based on received volume, and market share for individual customers.
  • Receive allocation requests from the business unit and verify them against incoming quantities.
  • Identify the warehouse locations of our distribution partners and divide the deliveries accordingly and communicate the delivery splits and instructions to the supply chain team.
  • Contact and chase customers to obtain confirmation of orders and answer any queries related to stock, such as expiry dates or dates of future supply.
  • Communicate and confirm the allocations to our distribution partners and monitor changes to the schedule in line with customer requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with the business unit to manage any remaining stock at the distribution partner locations.
  • Update the sales team on stock arrival and deliveries to ensure consistent messaging.

Requirements:

  • Business administration, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in Stock Allocation or a similar role.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to accurately calculate Stock Allocations.
  • Excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and prioritise responsibilities.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Excel and other inventory management systems.
  • Knowledge of supply chain processes and principles.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
