Summary of Role
Due to our continued growth, we are looking for a Stores and Logistics Controller to work in our Machine Control Department reporting directly to the Hire Manager. This role is based in our Birmingham Depot.
What your role will entail:
As a Store Controller you will act as the first point of contact for rental queries. Liaising closely with the Hire Manager and Colleagues within the Digital Department, so an understanding and knowledge of Controlling Stock in particular, Plant hire or similar would be an advantage. You may also be required to assist with any other tasks within the service dept from time to time.
Duties include:
• Be Point of Contact for stock control
• Assist Road Fitters with rental items
• Create + manage daily stock counts
• Assist operators + site managers with asset enquiries
• Be P.O.C. for asset selection , including placing / managing stock control, ensuring the right parts get to the right person / machine / site
• Lead and manage the stores as store man and stock.
• Receive breakdowns via telephone, email or other
• Assist manager with general office operations and admin where needed
• Assist with service contract + maintenance schedules Required Skills and experience
• Good IT skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, Office 365 and Microsoft Teams
• Organisational skills and ability to prioritise
• Interpersonal with good communication skills
• Rental in plant hire and stock control experience ideally
