Role Purpose-

The Store Maintenance & Facilities Manager, Europe, is a pivotal role within our organization, reporting directly to the Senior Project Manager, Europe. This position is responsible for overseeing the comprehensive Store Maintenance and development of works programs across the European region (110+ Stores and Counter spaces). It encompasses strategic leadership, team management, and high-level engagement with both internal and external stakeholders. This role is not solely managerial but is also proactive and hands-on, requiring daily involvement in both strategic planning and the operational execution of maintenance tasks.

Role responsibilities include, but not limited to-

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategic Planning and Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive maintenance strategy that aligns with the company’s goals, ensuring all European stores operate efficiently and reflect the brand’s standards. Use critical thinking to create a preventative maintenance strategy for our legacy stores.

Team Management: L ead and develop a small maintenance team (1 assistant), fostering a culture of excellence, responsiveness, and continuous improvement.

Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding Store Maintenance, ensuring clear communication and alignment of maintenance activities with broader business objectives.

Budget and External Resource Management: Oversee the maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective allocation of external resources, and manage CAPEX for maintenance projects. OPEX? Obtain competitive quotations for all works, including that of PPM works to future proof spaces.

Vendor and Contract Management: Source and manage relationships with contractors and suppliers, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to timelines.

Quality Assurance and Compliance: Ensure all maintenance work meets the highest quality standards and complies with local regulations and safety standards, challenging works that are not in line with our standards.

Project Management: Lead small to medium construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards

DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Operational Oversight: Conduct daily reviews of maintenance requests, prioritize tasks, and deploy resources to address reactive and planned maintenance needs efficiently.

Hands-on Problem Solving: Directly engage in troubleshooting and resolving maintenance issues, employing a hands-on approach to ensure swift resolutions.

Site Visits and Inspections: Regularly visit stores to inspect maintenance standards, identify potential issues, and engage with store teams to understand their maintenance needs.

Reporting and Analysis: Provide regular reports on maintenance activities, budget status, and project progress to senior management, using insights to drive process improvements.

Emergency Response Management: Act as the first point of contact for any emergency maintenance issues, ensuring rapid response and resolution to minimize operational disruptions.

Process Improvement: Continuously assess and improve maintenance procedures and practices, seeking efficiencies and enhancements in workflow and service delivery.

What we are looking for -

  • 5+ years experience in a similar role.

  • Advanced degree or equivalent experience in Design, Architecture, Construction, Facilities Management

  • Exceptional stakeholder management and strategic leadership skills

  • Experience in a leadership role within a creative, results-oriented team

  • Highly organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and solution-oriented

  • Proven ability to review and enhance processes for improvements and efficiencies

  • Strong track record in project and budget management, accountability and commercial awareness

  • Familiarity with store design, construction, and maintenance processes

  • Excellent communication skills with fluency in English, other european languages are beneficial

  • Proficiency in required software: Indesign, Photoshop, PowerPoint, Excel, Word

  • Travel required throughout Europe
