Stores Operative
Randstad Engineering are currently recruiting for a Stores Operative to come and work for TATA Steel at Shotton Works, Deeside (CH5 2NH).
The role is paying £12.69 per hour on an initial 12 month contract working 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday.
The Role
To identify, locate, stock take and deliver consumables, lubricants, engineering spares. This will be carried out manually or by means of mechanical material handling equipment or vehicles. Action associated documentation and update computer systems.
Your responsibilities will include (but not be limited to) -
- Help deliver the Annual Operating Plan in respect of Health and Safety, and provide information, as required, to ensure targets are in control.
- Provides a recording, monitoring and controlling function for the issue and receipt of all stores, spares and direct charges including lubrication and greases.
- To receive, identify, unload, locate, issue and deliver consumables, engineering spares, lubricants and other materials. Process all associated paperwork in accordance to the processes and procedures identified.
- Carry out all Q.A. approved Stock Checking procedures to ensure proper financial controls are maintained, as detailed in the Financial Controller's Manual. If material is damaged, raises damage report for submission to Stores Operations Controller/Stores and Spares Engineer.
The ideal candidate will -
- Have a thorough understanding of Stores/Spares operations
- Have an understanding of SAP
- Have FLT experience
- Have good communication skills and be able to liaise with engineers
- Have knowledge of TATA working systems e.g. H&S requirements
A full clean driving licence is essential
