Job Title: Stores Person
Location: Whitstable, Kent
Salary: up to 26,000 (dependant on experience)
Hours: Monday to Friday 7.30am - 3.30pm

Role Summary:
As a Store Person you will play a crucial role in managing inventory, ensuring efficient stock levels, and supporting the smooth operation of our business, alongside the Stores Controller.

Key responsibilities within your new role would be to:
- Sourcing and ordering materials from preferred supplier lists based on the material, project and price
- Receive, inspect and store incoming goods.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, stock movements and any discrepancies.
- Perform regular stock checks to prevent shortages or overstock situations.
- Prepare and pack items for shipping or distribution, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Generate purchase orders and coordinate with suppliers to maintain adequate stock levels.
- Organise and arrange the storage of items in a logical and accessible manner.
- Monitor and manage the cleanliness and orderliness of the storage area.
- Inspect received goods for quality and report any issues promptly.
- Adhere to all health and safety protocols related to the storage and handling of materials.
- Identify and report any safety hazards or concerns in the storage area.
Experience and skills required for this position:
- Proven experience in a similar stores role.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Due to the nature of the business you will be required to have a security clearance check carried out
