Intro to the role and the team
The NSPCC's Marketing and Planning Team delivers timely and effective marketing and compelling campaigns, working in partnership with teams across Communications and the wider organisation. The Strategic Marketing Team sits within this, and is known for its talent, expertise and creativity in inspiring and challenging people to do everything possible to keep childhood safe from abuse.
We are looking for a skilled Strategic Marketing Coordinator to join our Strategic Marketing team, which has a key role in driving awareness and understanding of our support for children, parents and professionals. We work closely with teams across the NSPCC to raise awareness of our vital services, lead behaviour change campaigns and support fundraising which helps us continue to fight for every childhood.
The post-holder will have experience of delivering marketing and communications that make an impact, and ensuring they're executed on time and within budget. They'll be a great communicator, able to build effective relationships and influence a range of stakeholders. They'll also be able to work independently and will have a track record of successfully working on multiple projects to meet strict deadlines.
What you need to know
The Strategic Marketing Coordinator will work closely with teams across the NSPCC to deliver communications campaigns and projects across a range of channels. Specifically they will:
Support the planning, delivery and evaluation of integrated marketing campaigns for Strategic Marketing.
Help us maximise the potential of our behaviour change and public awareness campaigns to help keep children safe and raise vital funds.
Create high quality marketing communications materials across a range of disciplines, working with relevant staff in Communications and Marketing, Income Generation and Services.
Oversee the creative brief process, working closely with the in-house creative team, external agencies and other internal teams.
To evaluate and report on all marketing activity to make recommendations and improve future campaigns.
To build strong internal and external relationships, identifying and incorporating best industry standards and establishing best practice.
About you:
We're looking for the following skills and experience:
Experience or demonstrable interest in marketing and communications.
Strong written skills, the ability to write clearly, concisely and persuasively in a variety of formats and for a variety of audiences.
Well-developed verbal and written communication skills to deal effectively, efficiently and appropriately with internal and external stakeholders.
Confidence in working as part of a team, with experience of working collaboratively with colleagues to help ensure the successful delivery of projects, being flexible where required.
Ability to plan monitor and implement projects to agreed deadlines and within budget, often with conflicting priorities
Excellent organisational skills and ability to work with other teams, departments and external organisations to achieve objectives.
Understanding of delivering digital and offline marketing and/or campaigns.
Ability to identify and devise creative solutions in order to achieve desired outcomes
Ability to work on own initiative and be proactive in developing and delivering projects.
