Plans for our Consumer proposition are accelerating! We are looking for an experienced Strategic Partnership Director to drive new revenue streams and to enhance consumer retention by bringing on the right Strategic Partners to Checkatrade.

Checkatrade is on a mission to be the trusted foundation of every home. You’ll help us get there by being responsible for developing and executing a Strategic Partnerships roadmap, negotiating agreements, and optimizing existing partnerships. Your role also involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to embed these partnerships into our consumer experience. You’ll play a key part in monetising opportunities across our B2C mobile app, driving incremental revenue and best in class consumer experience. Where do you fit in?

Reporting to the Managing Director - Consumer, you will be fully responsible for developing and executing our Consumer Partnerships Strategy for our up-and-coming mobile app. You’ll identify and engage potential partners, build and nurture relationships with industry partners, and channel partners to execute the right partnerships for our Consumer App. You'll also work closely with in-house teams across marketing, UX and Product to increase engagement and retention. Skilled in reporting and analytics, you’ll also track and measure the success of partnerships. Our future ambition is to make home improvements as easy as possible for our consumers. Whether it’s booking and paying for a trade, or proactively recommending home upgrades, our consumer app will make the journey seamless. You will ensure that we have the right strategic partners on board. From payments and lending to insurance and more we are looking to embedded value add features into our platform. What do you need to succeed?

  • Be experienced in creating a strategic plan and delivering successful partnerships in the consumer app or tech industry. Marketplace expertise will be a bonus.
  • Strong track record of driving revenue growth and consumer retention through successful partnerships.
  • Evidence of product led thinking across partner APIs / close collaboration with product and tech teams on delivery.
  • Partnership experience across minimum of two of the following areas: payments, lending, insurance, property platforms or retail.
  • Be analytically and commercially minded with exceptional critical thinking skills and the ability to quickly assess opportunities holistically focussing on ideas that deliver ROI.
  • Have exceptional influencing, negotiating and relationship building skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
