About the Role
Uber Eats is looking to grow the Central Operations Team in UK&I. The mission of the Operations team is simple: make Uber Eats the preferred delivery platform for merchants, couriers and customers.
This role will be responsible for all aspects of our in-app consumer operations for UK&I. This will include solving for problems like how do we surface merchants in our app (e.g. ranking algorithms, display format) and how much do we charge consumers to place orders on our app (eater fees). Solving these sophisticated problems will involve close collaboration with teams across Tech (Product, Data Science) and Commercial teams as well as other operations teams (Membership, Eater Growth etc)
What You Will Do
  • Develop and own the strategy for in-app ranking (home feed, search etc) and eater pricing (delivery fees, service fees etc) in UK&I
  • Perform detailed analysis on in-app consumer behavior (both short term conversion and longer term value) and clearly communicate key insights to drive impact
  • Work with global product teams to develop, test and roll-out new in-app features for UK&I
  • Build cases to support potential product / strategy changes
  • Build and develop strong relationships with key partners across commercial, finance, tech and leadership teams to ensure initiatives are aligned with broader strategic objectives across Uber Eats
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in Economics, STEM or similar
  • Experience in operations, analytics, product or strategy ideally within a tech or strategy consultancy firm
  • Robust data analytics and technical skills, including advanced SQL to source data from large, complex data sources
  • Strong commercial attitude with the ability to build compelling cases to support recommendations
Preferred Qualifications
  • Able to use Python to perform data analysis (e.g. data manipulation, regression modeling)
  • Experience working with mobile app session data to generate consumer insights
  • A natural presenter, comfortable communicating findings and leading the conversation with senior audiences (both presentations and written materials)
  • Experience with data visualisation tools (e.g. Tableau, Plotly)
