A fantastic opportunity is immediately available for an ambitious and driven Structural CAD Technician to become a leading part of a highly regarded, independent engineering consultancy based in Oakham, Rutland. We are looking to welcome the successful applicant to play an important part in the detailing and modelling of a wide range of projects delivered across the residential, commercial and industrial sectors and have developed a strong reputation for delivering high quality work for its client base. To be considered for this Structural CAD Technician role you will:
- Hold either an ONC/OND or HNC/HND in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Minimum of 2-3 years' experience within a consultancy-based role.
- Have experience working with steel, concrete, timber and masonry
- Be proficient in the use of AutoCAD with proven track record in delivering high standards of draughtsmanship
- Experience with Revit is desirable though not essential
- Have a clean driving licence and use of car
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
Key responsibilities of this Structural CAD Technician role include but not limited to:
- Play an important part in the detailing and modelling of a wide range of building structures projects
- Liaise closely with engineers to ensure accurate drawing representation
- Aid the development of more junior team members
- Carry out steel and concrete layout drawings
- Reinforcement detailing and scheduling
- Aid the development of more junior team members
- Attending Design team meetings
